Obituary for Robert Kobuck

Robert E. Kobuck, “Hotrod E. Kobuck”, 88, passed away Monday November 7, 2022, in Altoona. He was born in Tyrone on November 18, 1933 to the late John and Jennie (Lewis) Kobuck. On June 28, 1955, he married the love of his life Marjorie Ardrey.

Along with his wife he leaves behind his children, Vickie Burke spouse Chris, LuAnn Umholtz spouse Ken; grandchildren, Diana Schuffert spouse Tony, Brandon Umholtz spouse Kendall, Skylar Umholtz, Chance Burke fiancee Emily Romano, Chase Burke; great grandchildren, Vinny, Heidi, Kallista, Easton; siblings, Martin and Richard and the family dog, Buster. He is preceded in death by brothers, Terry, John Lawrence, and sister Cassie; and the family dog Mack.

Bob was a graduate of TAHS of 53’ and joined the Army shortly after from 1955 to 1963. For 39 years he worked at Chicago Rivet, and was a member of Hookies, American Legion and was an Eagle Scout. Bob loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, hunting. He loved watching football or NASCAR with his grandsons and was very proud of them. He enjoyed the times he played bingo and trains, like the one in Ace Hardware, Tyrone, that his grandson makes.

The Family would also like to extend a thank you to the ICU nurses at Altoona UPMC especially Adam Link and Kaitlyn Imler, who were extremely helpful and supportive.

Friends and family will be received on Thursday November 10, 2022 at Feller Memorial Home, with a viewing starting at 1pm-2pm and a service starting at 2. With military honors to follow. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in his name may be made to the Central PA Humane Society.
