Obituary for Nancy Ann Weakland (Shultz)

Nancy Ann Weakland, 78 of Tyrone, passed away surrounded by family on July 16, 2022. She was born on October 15, 1943, in Tyrone, the daughter of the late James and Gladys (Kimberling) Shultz. On November 18, 1967, she married Paul Francis Weakland Sr. at the The First Assembly of God church in Tyrone who preceded her in death on September 2, 2011. She is survived by two daughters: Tammy (Joseph) Lewis, and Patricia Wertz; four siblings: Connie Muir, Betty Knipple, and Shirley and Ronald Shultz; three grandchildren: Donald (Stevie) and Dustin (Rebecca) Weaver, and Caleb Hammond; and three great-grandchildren: Riley, Landon, and Grayson Weaver. Also preceding her in death was a son: Paul “Rusty” Francis Weakland Jr.; five brothers: Donald Kimberling, and Jimmy, George, William and Robert Shultz; one grandson: Gage Thomas Weakland; and a son-in-law: Donald Wertz Sr.

Nancy was a 1961 graduate of Tyrone High School. She worked for Big Yank as an inspector, as well as the Salvation Army, and as a Senior Companion for Blair Senior Services.

She enjoyed helping others, crafting, playing bingo, and making meals for others. She also loved spending time with family, especially her great grandchildren whom she loved very much and who always made her smile.

An 11 am funeral service for Nancy Ann Weakland will be held on Thursday, July 21, 2022, at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Carl Schmidt officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday evening, July 20, 2022 from 6-8 pm at the funeral home and from 10 am until the funeral service on Thursday.
