Obituary for Mary Louise Adler

Mary Louise Adler, age 87, of Altoona died Wednesday, August 17, 2016 at Epworth Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Tyrone following an extended illness. She was born November 26, 1928 in Tyrone, the daughter of William and Ruth Hastings Phillips. She was first married to Ray Helsel who is deceased and in 1985 was married to David Adler. She is survived by her husband and two children, Carolyn (Fred) Haywood and Raymond (Patricia) Helsel, all of Osceola Mills, PA . Also surviving is a granddaughter, Sharon (Quentin) Sharp, South Fayette, PA and four great grandchildren – Gabrielle, Kyle, Isabella and Ian and her mother-in-law Kathryn Adler, Altoona. Also surviving are four sisters in law, Pam Adler, Philipsburg, Bonnie Adler, Altoona and Karen (Charlie) Benton, Bellwood and Linda (Tim) Nagle, Hollidaysburg and three brothers in law, Paul, Lanse, PA, Mark (Jill) , Hollidaysburg and Jim (Lori), Cincinnati, Ohio and a number of nieces and nephews. Also surviving is her sister Bella Bonsell, Tyrone. Her brother in law George Bonsell and brother Harold Richard and his wife Joyce Phillips preceded her in death.
Mary Louise was a graduate of Tyrone High School Class of 1946 and had been employed as a seamstress.
Funeral service for Mrs. Adler will be Sunday, August 28, 2016 at 3:30 PM at the Grace Bible Church with Pastor Darren Ritchey officiating. Arrangements are under the care of the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home Inc., Tyrone.
