Obituary for Margaret M. Weyer
Margaret M. Weyer, 89 a guest at Arista Care Huntingdon, died Wednesday September 19, 2018. She was born June 23, 1929, the daughter of the late Paul and Katherine Philips Wilson. She married Richard Harold Weyer who preceded her in death, July 17, 1997. She is survived by 3 sons: Kenneth (Pam), Robert (Diane) and James “Pete” (Pat) Weyer; 3 daughters: Jean (Paul) Gorman, Mary (Don) Crowell and Penny Jo (John) Dean; 22 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; 1 brother: Paul Wilson; 1 sister: Patricia Covert; 1 son-in-law: Ralph Teeters; 1 daughter-in-law: Sarah Jane Weyer. She was preceded in death by 4 children: Tom Weyer, Cathy Teeters, Debra Weyer and William Weyer; 2 brothers: Robert and Raymond Wilson; and 1 sister: Dorothy Decker.
Margaret loved flowers and was an avid gardener, often canning many of her homegrown vegetables. She was an excellent homemaker with the full time job of raising 10 children who all agree that she was the world’s best cook. She also enjoyed doing puzzles and wordbooks. More than anything though, she enjoyed spending time with her family and being with them.
A memorial service for Margaret M. Weyer will be held at the Sinking Valley Presbyterian Church on Monday, September 24, 2018 at 12:00 Noon with Reverend Ernest Walls officiating. Friends will be received for visitation on Monday beginning at 10:00 AM until the noon service. Inurnment will be at the Arch Spring Cemetery.
