Obituary for Kenneth E. Weyer
Kenneth E. Weyer, 76, passed away in Tyrone surrounded by family, on Sunday, December 10, 2023. Kenneth was born in Huntingdon on November 15, 1947 to the late Richard and Margaret (Wilson) Weyer. On December 24, 1970 in Altoona, he married his loving wife, Pamela Beyer, who survives.
Along with his wife, he is survived by children, Steve (Jacki), and Rich (Angie) Weyer; grandchildren, Courtney Runk, Steve Weyer, Jenna Weyer Abby; great grandchildren, Dekon Maverick, and Adalina; siblings, James "Pete" (Pat), Robert (Diane), Dorothy Jean Gorman, Mary Crowell, and Penny Dean; brother in laws, Terry and spouse Marianne Beyer, and Ralph Teeters; a sister in law Sara Jane; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by parents, and siblings David, Thomas, William, and Cathy.
Kenneth was a graduate of TAHS class of ‘65. He was a veteran in Vietnam, and was very involved with the community. Kenneth was a member of Church of the Good Shepherd in Tyrone and was on the board of directors at Quest Haven Lodge Ministries, He was a lifetime member and past Commander of VFW 4559, was in the Honor Guard Post 281, past member of the Tyrone Clubsmen and A&W Hunting Camp. Kenneth enjoyed archery, he was a life member of Christian Bow Hunters, On Target Archers, and spread his knowledge as an archery instructor at summer camps and church groups, and was also a coach for youth football. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping ,and spending time with his family.
