Obituary for Talmadge Cupp
Kenneth Talmadge Cupp, 85 of Tyrone died Sunday May 10, 2020 at UPMC Altoona. He was born on November 5, 1934 the son of the late Kenneth E. And Helen (Fike) Cupp. On July 3, 1970 at the First English Church of Tyrone he married Sally Sheckler Cupp who survives. Talmadge is also survived by three children: Kenneth E. Cupp, Lori (Rob) Rerko, and Terry Cupp; three step-children: Thomas Wike,Vicki (Bob) Tennis, and Daniel Wike; fourteen grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; one sister: Charlene (Bernie) Hand; and one sister-in-law: Darlene Cupp. He was preceded by two grandsons: Jeffrey and Christopher McClellan; and one brother: Lynn D. Cupp.
Talmadge was a 1952 graduate of Tyrone High School. After High School Talmadge enlisted and served in the United States Army in the Big Red One 1st infantry division. He was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church in Tyrone, American Legion Post 281, VFW Tyrone Post 4559, Tyrone Elks BPOE 212.
Talmadge enjoyed watching and playing basketball. He even played in the J-House 3 on 3 tournament up until two years ago with his team winning their division.
Services for Kenneth Talmadge Cupp will be held at the convenience of the family with plans for a memorial service and inurnment when the church is able to be accessed by all. Contributions in his memory may be made to Trinity Episcopal Church, 830 Washington Ave, Tyrone, PA 16686.
