Obituary for Joseph Albert Steinbugl

Joseph Albert Steinbugl, 76 of Tyrone, passed away on Saturday, October 30, 2021. He was born on February 2, 1945, in Altoona, the son of the late Michael and Nancy (Iaia) Steinbugl. On May 27, 1965, in Altoona he married Marjorie (Grace) Steinbugl who survives. Also surviving are three children: Wendi Jo (Shawn) Ross, Toni Jo (David) Parker, and Joseph (Dawn) Steinbugl; six grandchildren: Josh Burwell, Lauren Ross, Alissa (Tony Johnson) Parker, Seth Parker, Zach Burke, and Joseph C. Steinbugl; and one sister: Annetta (Donald) McClellan of Altoona. He was preceded in death by a brother: Albert Steinbugl.
Joseph was a 1963 graduate of Altoona High School. He worked at the PPG Tipton plant and retired as a Line Inspector in 2007. He was a member of the Bavarian Aid Society, the Tyrone Sportsmen’s Club, and the NRA.
Joe enjoyed watching Penn State and Pittsburgh Steelers football, hunting, and fishing. He was a history buff and especially enjoyed learning about World War II. He coached both Little League and Youth Football for many years. Joe was a family man above all else and treasured the time he spent with his wife of 56 years, his children, and his grandchildren.
