Obituary for Jeannine P. Gibson
Jeannine P. Gibson, 93, of Tyrone, passed away on Tuesday June 6, 2023. She was born on July 13, 1929 in Tyrone to the Late Newton E. and Dorothy (Schnellbaugh) Gibson.
She is survived by her siblings, Sherry Dublin and Bonnie Gibson; nieces and nephews, Patty (Randy) Yon, Frank A. (Kim) Germino, David, Missy and Colleen Dublin; great nieces and nephews, Adam Freeman, Jessica Foglemen, Matthew Germino, Nathan Yon, Jillian Yon.
She was preceded in death by siblings Beverly Owens and Newton L. Gibson; Brother-in-law, Vernon; nephew, Michael Dublin and niece Theresa Germino Smith.
She graduated form TAHS in 1947. After high school Jeannine worked at McCrory’s for 40 years and then worked at Widmans till retirement. She loved spending her time reading, enjoying Saturday shopping, and was part of the Blair County Election Board.
Friends and family for Jeannine Gibson will be received on Friday June 9th, 2023 from 4 to 5pm at Richard H. Searer Funeral home. A celebration of life will follow starting at 5pm with Pastor Terry Farr. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to New Life Community Church, in Altoona.
