Obituary for Jack A. Murtagh
Jack Murtagh, 22 of Tyrone, passed away Sunday, November 14, 2021. He was born on December 23, 1998, to Andrew Murtagh and Patricia (Weir) Murtagh, in Somerset PA.
Jack was a 2017 graduate of Tyrone Area High school where he was part of the golf team. After graduation he attended Penn State where he was currently in his senior year, he would have obtained his degree in accounting in the spring of 2022. Jack was an avid movie buff and enjoyed playing video games online with friends. He also enjoyed the outdoors and hiking. Jack also adored the family cat Rosie.
In addition to his parents, Jack leaves behind his sister Alana, maternal grandmother Agnes Weir, and an extensively large family with several aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Paul and Dolores Murtagh and maternal grandfather Raymond Weir.
Friends and relatives are invited to gather at the Feller Memorial Home, 817 W. 15th St, Tyrone PA 16686, on Thursday November 18th, 2021 from 3-8pm. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 19th, at St. Matthew Catholic Church, 1105 Cameron Ave, Tyrone, PA 16686, with Father Jozef Kovacik at 11 am.
In lieu of flowers, Jack would have greatly appreciated the thought of contributions being made to your local Humane Society.
