Obituary for Helen N. Domenick (Chiofar)
Helen Domenick, 94 of Tyrone and a guest at Epworth Manor passed away Tuesday evening February 15, 2022. She was born on March 24, 1927 in Tyrone the daughter of the late Salvatore and Domenica (Satore) Chiofar. September 8, 1951 at St. Matthew Catholic Church she married James B. Domenick Sr. who preceded her in death on July 13, 2008. She is survived by three children: Sharon A. (Bob) Gates, James B. (Mary) Domenick Jr., and David E. Domenick; three grandchildren Heather M. (Eddie) Cherrix, Michael P. (Jessica) Domenick, Daniel J. (Julie) Domenick; great-granddaughter: Edin Cherrix; three step-grandchildren: Christopher, Samantha, and Cody Patterson. She was preceded in death by her siblings: Mary, Rose, Francis, Charles, Rocky and Frank and was the last of her immediate family.
Helen worked as a seamstress at Big Yank and retired after many years of service. She was also a member of St. Matthew Catholic Church. Helen enjoyed playing bingo, testing her luck on Cash 5 daily, watching the Steelers, Nittany Lions, and Tyrone Golden Eagles play football.
An 11 am Mass for Helen N. Domenick will be held on Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Saint Matthew Catholic Church with Father Jozef Kovacik officiating. Friends will be received on Saturday at Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. from 9:30 am until the procession to the 11 am Mass. Interment will be made at Oak Grove Cemetery. Contributions in Helen’s memory may be made to St. Matthew Catholic Church, 1105 Cameron Avenue, Tyrone, PA 16686.
