Obituary for Harry Stewart Dillon Jr.

Harry Stewart Jr. and Meredith Ann (Faust) Dillon, both 69, of Tyrone, passed away together on March 22, 2022.

Harry was born to Harry Sr. and the late Dorothy (Reader) Dillon on April 15, 1952 in Philipsburg.

Ann was born to the late Raymond and Pauline (Meredith) Faust on July 9, 1952 in Altoona.

Both are survived by son, Harry (Chip) III, wife of Rhonda and Granddaughter Ryleigh; siblings Sherry (Mark) Dillon, John Dillon, Mary Michaels Wilcox; nieces and nephews, Leslie Hammond, Lori (Steve) Beals, Heathe (Brian) Meek; great nieces and nephews, Devon and Stephanie Hammond, Tony and Micheal Beals, Nick, Asher and Zoey Meek. Harry was preceded in death by his sister-in-law Sandie Dillon. Ann was preceded in death by her brother-in-law, Steve Michaels.

Both graduated from Tyrone Area School in 1970, they were high school sweethearts and were married on October 6, 1972 in Tyrone.

Harry was self-employed as an owner and operator of Dillon Trucking for 50 years. He was a 32nd Degree Mason, a Jaffa Shriner, a member of Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder (Hookies) and Bald Eagle Fire Co. Harry enjoyed fishing, hunting, and he was an Eagle Scout and ScoutMaster along with his wife who was Den Leader of the Cub pack of Troop 103.

Ann was the business manager of Dillon Trucking, later she worked as an EMT at DelGrosso's Amusement Park and an Aid at Epworth Manor. Ann retired from Snyder Township as secretary. Ann was a 50 year member of Easter Star. She blessed people at Bald Eagle United Methodist Church and Grazierville United Methodist churches with her love of piano and organ playing.
Both adored their granddaughter Ryleigh, and will be remembered for their love for their family, animals and they enjoyed the time they had with friends, always helping others unselfishly, never looking for praise.

Viewing for Harry and Ann will be held at Church of the Good Shepherd- Tyrone, Sunday, March 27, 2022, friends will be received from 3-5pm and 6-8pm and Monday, March 28, 2022 from 10am-11am with services to follow with Pastor Todd Templeton officiating.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Central PA Humane Society or your local fire hall.

Arrangements are under the care of Feller Memorial Home, Branch.
