Obituary for Frank M. Vingless

Frank M. Vingless, 70, of Tyrone died Sunday February 22, 2021 at UPMC Altoona.

He was born January 22, 1951 in Coupon, a son of Michael Joseph and Sophie Vingless.

Surviving are 2 daughters; Mary F. Pellegrini of Altoona, Natasha B. Hampton and husband Bobby of Carrolltown, 2 grandchildren; Macy and Maura Pellegrini, 2 sisters; Marie Lansberry of Osceola Mills, Sophie Sprankle of Morann and a brother Mike Tomko of Houtzdale. He was preceded in death by 2 brothers Joseph and John Vingless and a sister Helen Johnson.

Frank retired in 2010 from Norfolk Southern as a pipe fitter and welder following 32 years service.

He was a member of the Howard Gardner American Legion, Tyrone and was a 1969 graduate of Moshannon Valley High School.

He was a U.S. Navy veteran serving from 1971-1975 on Assault Craft Unit Two.

Frank enjoyed spending time with his children, grandchildren and his dog Daisy. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, golfing and plying his guitar.

Memorial services will be held Saturday February 27, 2021 at 3 P.M. at Feller Memorial Home. Friends will be received at the funeral home from 1 P.M. until the time of services.
