Obituary for Eileen A. Ellenberger (Knarr)

Eileen A. Ellenberger, 96, of Tyrone, and a guest at Graystone Manor, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday. She was born in Birmingham, the daughter of Cloyd and Edith (Stover) Knarr.
On Sept. 30, 1943, at First Methodist Church, she married B. William Ellenberger Jr. who preceded her on July 10, 2003.
She is survived by three sons: William (Anita) of Escondido, Calif., Stephen of Tyrone and Andrew (Deborah) Ellenberger of Sinking Valley; seven grandchildren: Stephen J., Nicole, Michael, Kristi, Julia, Aaron and Laura; 10 great-grandchildren; and a daughter-in-law, Joyce (Boyd) Ellenberger.
In addition to her husband, Eileen was preceded in death by a son, Michael C. Ellenberger; daughter-in-law, LuAnn Ellenberger; and a brother, William Knarr III.
Eileen was a 1943 graduate of Tyrone Area High School. She was a member of Bible Baptist Church in Tyrone, where she played the organ and piano.
She enjoyed music and loved to read. Eileen was a devout student of the Bible and loved to spend time with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A private funeral service for Eileen A. Ellenberger will be held at the convenience of the family. Interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park. A Celebration of Life service will be held at a later date.
