Obituary for Edward A. Dysart

Edward A. Dysart, 69 of Tyrone, died Sunday October 4, 2020. He was born on August 5, 1951, the son of the late Edward W. and Theda (Bailey) Dysart. On May 15, 1976 at the Church of the Good Shepherd in Tyrone, he married Viola Barley who survives. Also surviving is one daughter: Cynthia (Eric Korzec) Walker; three grandchildren: Violet Merritt, Lia Walker and Aiden Korzec; two sisters: Gail (Dan) Masser of Arizona and Avis (Jim) Rice of Mahaffey; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Ed was a 1969 graduate of Tyrone High School. He worked for many years at PPG retiring in 2013 but continuing to work for PGW for several years. He was a member of the Altoona Free Masons Mt. Lodge 281, the Tyrone Elks BPOE Lodge 212, a lifetime member of both the Tyrone Sportsmen and the Fire Tower Hunting Club, and the PA Game Commission.
He enjoyed hunting and fishing and being outdoors. He loved to spend time with his family, especially his daughter and granddaughters.
An 11 am funeral service for Edward A. Dysart will be held on Thursday, October 8, 2020 at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with pastor Eric Shafer officiating. Friends will be received on Wednesday, October 7, 2020 from 5-8 pm at the funeral home as well as on Thursday from 10 am until the 11 am service. Private interment will be made at Blair Memorial Park.
