Obituary for Earl A. “Beetle” Bailey

Earl A. “Beetle” Bailey of Tyrone and a resident of the Hollidaysburg Veterans Home, died Thursday September 5, 2019. He was born on September 12, 1941, the son of the late Charles Bailey and Pearl (Rowley) Ramsey. Beetle is survived by three daughters: Kathy (Mark) Supenia, Della (Jon) Bell and Sharon Weight; one son: Allen (Charlene) Bailey; 11 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a brother: Charles T. Bailey.
Beetle was a member of the American Legion Howard Gardner Post #281, Anderson Denny VFW Post #4559, the Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company, Elks Lodge 212 and the Bellwood Eagles. He participated in local pool leagues and enjoyed fishing.
Beetle served proudly in the United States Marine Corps and was a veteran of the Vietnam War.
Funeral service with military honors for Earl A. “Beetle” Bailey will be held on Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at 4 pm at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. Friends will be received on Tuesday September 10, 2019 from 2 pm until the start of the 4 pm service. Private inurnment will be Bald Eagle Cemetery at the convenience of the family.
