I'm Lawrence Gilbert and I served with Beetle in The U S MARINE CORPS in 1960 - 61. When I was discharged in 61 Beetle and I drove his old Mercury a 1953 I believe, pulling my old Harley on a rented trailer to Altoona. He was on leave and went back to Duty Station New River NC, and then back to Nam. I stayed in Altoona for the next 40 yrs. I now live in FLorida.

RIP and Semper Fi Beetle.
