Obituary for Charles E. "Chuck" Woodring

Charles “Chuck” E. Woodring, 68, of Tyrone, passed away Thursday, September 8, 2022. He was born on February 12, 1954, in Port Matilda, the son of the late Raymond G. and Irene (Inhoof) Woodring Sr. On September 1, 2012, at the Bald Eagle United Methodist Church he married Cindy Shirey who survives. Also surviving are three children: Katie Jo Mitchell of Lewistown, Mark Carrico of Tyrone, and Aaron (Heather) Carrico of Philipsburg; three siblings: Carol Minns of Landisburg, Raymond G. (Mary) Woodring Jr. of Port Matilda, and Debbie (Chuck) Bell of Port Matilda; and four grandchildren: Samantha Jo, Isaiah, Cameron, and Tanner. He was preceded in death by a sister Patsy Woodring and his beloved dog and sidekick Maverick.

Chuck was a graduate of Tyrone High School and was employed by the Alexandria Automart as a mechanic. He was a member of the Bavarian Aid Society.

He enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fantasy football, Nascar Cup Series racing, bar bingo, doing work around the yard and spending time with his family. His world revolved around his best friends and sidekicks; Thor and Maverick. Chuck was always willing to lend a helping hand to those in need. His soul was bigger than life itself. Any and all who knew him were blessed to have him as a part of their lives.

A visitation for Charles “Chuck” E. Woodring will be held on Monday, September 19, 2022 from 4-6 pm at the Feller Memorial Home. At the request of the family there will be no formal funeral service to follow.
