Obituary for Bev J. Rutherford
Bev J. Rutherford, 73, of Altoona formerly of Tyrone died Monday May 25, 2020 at Maybrook Hills Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center.
She was born July 27, 1946 in Altoona, a daughter of Roy L. and Helen Louise (McCoy) Miles. She was married to Alvin T. Rutherford for 26 years. He died August 2, 2014.
Surviving are a daughter Tammy Lee Harpster of Altoona, a son Aaron T. Rutherford of Tyrone, three granddaughters; Kylie Nicole Rutherford and Emily Ruth and Ally Paige Harpster, a greatgrandson Noah Farlow, son-in-law Tom Harpster of Altoona, two brothers; Paul David “Butch” Miles of Northwood, James Edward Miles of Northwood, and 2 sisters; Margaret “Suzie” Harpster of Altoona and Sherry Lorraine of Northwood.
Bev was employed at Family and Children’s Services, Altoona for 13 years working as a counselor in Domestic Abuse.
She was a 1964 graduate of Tyrone Area High School.
She dearly loved her grandchildren.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
