Betty M. Foust, 96 of Tyrone, died Saturday, September 19, 2020. She was born on September 23, 1923 the daughter of the late W. Delbert and Frances (McMullen) Miller. On September 19, 1946 she married Byron “Barney” Foust who preceded her in death on September 3, 2002. Betty is survived by two children: Jeffery M. (Becky) Foust of Dover, PA and Paula Foust of Tyrone; one granddaughter: Kylie Foust; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was the last of her immediate family.
Betty was a 1941 graduate of Tyrone High School. She was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Tyrone. She had been employed at several local businesses including, Big Yank Corp., Hicke’s grocery store, Heberling’s grocery store and Mac’s Market.
She liked watching sports and never missed her children’s sporting events making sure to be always be present. She also enjoyed the Pirates, Steelers, bowling and spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter Kylie who was the love of her life.
A 1 pm funeral service for Betty M. Foust will be held on Saturday, September 26, 2020 at the Richard H. Searer Funeral Home, Inc. with Pastor Tina Hawkins officiating. Friends will be received from 11 am until the 1 pm service. Contributions in Betty’s memory may be made to Wesley United Methodist Church Tyrone, 1200 Logan Ave., Tyrone, PA 16686.
