Anna Mae Campbell, 95 of Tyrone died Tuesday, January 5, 2021. She was born in Osceola Mills on January 23, 1925 the daughter of the late Francis J. and Ethel B. (Kephart) Thal, Sr. She is survived by two daughters: Cynthia Mann of Port Matilda and Barbara (Bruce) Crocefoglia of Warriors Mark; six grandchildren: Eric (Kelly), Jonathan (Kim), and Barbara Holmes, Andrew (Carrie) Johnson, and Morgan and Jonathan Crocefoglia; five great-grandchildren: Kristin and Gage Johnson, Ryleigh and Declan Holmes, and Molly Crocefoglia. She also had six stepchildren, two locally: Roberta Albright of Bellwood and Alan Campbell of Altoona. Anne was preceded in death by her husband, Robert F. Campbell and one brother, Francis J. Thal, Jr.
Anna Mae was a 1943 graduate of Tyrone High School and was very proud that she completed her entire education without ever missing a day of school. She worked at First Blair County National Bank for thirty years, retiring in 1994. She also worked at various other local businesses, including Blatchford Furniture, Tyrone YMCA, and Tyrone Daily Herald. She was a life-long member of Wesley United Methodist Church in Tyrone where she devoted her time to the treasury, Sunday School, and Auxiliary.
Additionally, Anna Mae volunteered at the Tyrone Hospital and Tyrone Senior Center, and was a member of the 1943 Reunion Committee Board. She loved cats, flowers, bus trips, music of all kinds, and attending concerts. Anne was also an avid Penn State and Tyrone football fan.
