Alexander Francis "Duke" Wilson, 82 of Tyrone died on October 13, 2020 at his home where he was also born on May 16, 1938 to the late Alexander F. and Carolyn (Smith) Wilson Sr. Duke was first married to Marilyn and then to Pat (Hand) Ray in Snowhill, Maryland in 1984, both survive. He is also survived by two daughters: Merrilee (Bill) Cross and Becky (Mike) Rozick; one son: John Wilson; two step-daughters: Patty and Donna Ray; two step-sons: Don Ray II and Greg (Christy) Ray; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Duke was a 1956 graduate of Tyrone High School. In 2000 he retired from Westvaco as an electrician after 43 years of service. He was a member of First English Lutheran Church in Tyrone. He was also a member of VFW post 4559, American Legion Post 281, the Moose Lodge, The Blazing Arrow Hook and Ladder Fire Company, a lifetime member of the NRA and a life member of National Geographic.
Duke loved the St. Lawrence River and Eel Bay, he enjoyed fishing, hunting and the outdoors.
A private inurnment will be held at the convenience of the family.
